The
Legend Of The Bear Lake Monster
Back in 1910 Indians told of a monster that
lived in Bear
Lake. They said the animal was very large and green in color with
spots. And that he wore sunglasses and a baseball cap. They would see him
often sometimes swimming just off shore or sometimes they would see him
skiing. The Indians told he would wear a brightly colored swimming suit or
a pair of jeans.
THEY SAID HE HAD QUITE AN ATTITUDE!!
The Indians didn't allow their children to
play in "Bear Lake" because they didn't know if he was friendly.
But the children they weren't afraid of him because they often seen him
too!! The would sneak down to the shore and watch him swim.
THEY THOUGHT HE WAS PRETTY COOL!!
So next time the lake is real smooth and
you see one rippled wave, be sure to watch --- HE'S COMING YOUR WAY!!
