Castle Rock Campground

Back To Beaver City

 

   Geological castle like formations surround this campground. A small creek runs through the campground, there are no fish. Fremont Indian State Park is nearby, along with a trail for hiking (Joe Lott trail) and access to ATV trails. Easy access to Paiute ATV 01 Trail can take riders on to the Beaver and Fillmore Ranger Districts. Common vegetation in the area includes cottonwood, pinion, juniper and ponderosa pine trees.


Location: Located approximately 1 mile south of Exit 17 on 1-70. Take exit 17 off of 1-70, travel on Forest Road #475 for approximately 2 miles.


Elevation: 6,500 feet


Season: April through October


Fee: $11 for one and $22 for double family camping.


Facilities: Available facilities include drinking water, two vault toilets, tables and grills. Units will accommodate 24' to 30' camp trailers.


Reservations: Campground is operated by Utah State Parks and Recreation. Reservations can be made by calling 435-527-4631.


ATV Access: This campground is open to ATV use. On the northwest corner of the campground is an ATV trail that will take you around the hill to access the Pauite ATV 01 trail. The 01 trail accesses the Beaver and Fillmore Districts.
