Hardware
Ranch Snowmobiling Complex
Hardware Ranch, managed and operated by the Division
of Wildlife Resources, provides snowmobilers with a warm, spacious visitor
center, restaurant, heated rest rooms, vending machines, and information
about the wintering elk herd. You may want to take a ride in a horse-drawn
sleigh to get a closer look at the elk. Hardware Ranch is a critical
wildlife habitat. Please stay on designated trails.
Some 185 miles of groomed snowmobile trails wind
through the heart of Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Weber, Cache, and
Rich counties. Several side and interconnecting trails join the groomed
trail complex. Side trails can be rough and snow conditions are often
unpredictable. Be sure to check conditions before you use side trails.
Also included in this complex, but not shown on the
is a three mile groomed trail out of Mantua, Utah. This trail is located
just five miles northwest of Brigham City off Highway 89 in Sardine
Canyon.
Idaho groomed trails can be accessed through
Franklin Basin and Beaver Creek trails.
