Lincoln Beach Warm Springs

Lincoln Beach Warm Springs

Taken By Utah Outdoor Activities

Lincoln Beach Warm Springs is located on the south end of Utah Lake, on the old Lincoln Beach. This area is very active with several warm springs, but most will be covered by water when the lake level rises again. The water in the springs was crystal clear, but the cattails and other vegetation have grown over them. As you can see by the picture above the water has a lot of weeds and moss floating on top. With a little effort from someone this pool could be made into a nice little soak. The water temperature is approx 90 degrees, so soaking in the winter could be a little on the chilly side. Spring time would be the best time to soak and take up the views across Utah Lake. Because of the location of this spring, I would say in the summer months you would get eaten alive by mosquitoes, which would make for one unpleasant visit.

Directions

From Salt Lake City head south on I-15 to the Springville exit #263. Travel west and head towards West Mountain. Most of the farm roads will lead you to the road that takes you to West Mountain, so just make sure your heading west and you'll be fine. When you reach West Mountain the road will take you north around the mountain. As you are traveling around the mountain you will come to the Lincoln Beach State Park. You want to continue past the state park to the old Lincoln Beach. The way that I found the springs is I saw an old pump house, and if you look below that you will see the concrete of and old swimming pool. The springs are located just in front of the old swimming pool. There isn't much parking on the road in front of the pump house,  if you travel just a bit further you will find a nice parking lot. From the parking lot you will have a short walk to the springs.
