Imagine for a moment; it is Friday afternoon and you just got off work. You and your family are planning a weekend trip to your favorite outdoor location. You are so excited to finally have the opportunity to escape the city and enjoy a peaceful retreat in the great outdoors. In your head you are thinking about all the gear you must pack. You think to yourself; I packed the cooler, sleeping bags, food, tent, stove… good to go. Finally, you hit the road and the stress is already leaving your body.

A few hours later you arrive at your outdoor location and get out of your vehicle. Immediately you smell that crisp fresh mountain air. The birds are chirping, and in the distance you can hear the faint sound of a creek flowing down the mountain… ah life is good.

As you and your family settle in its time to cook your first outdoor meal. You get out your propane stove, shake the bottle of propane and realize the bottle is just about empty. In haste to get on the road you forgot to check the propane. No matter how well prepared you’re, things will be forgotten. We have all done it!

Stove In A Can

Some items forgotten are no big deal. But when you forget one of the three main items of survival; food, water, and a cooking source this defiantly changes the dynamics of your relaxing trip. Sure you can jump back in your vehicle and go home or you can always have a back up.

The Stove In A Can is the perfect backup. It is a portable, self-contained, cooking platform that requires no propane and it is safe to store in your vehicle, your trailer, motor home, ATV, Boat, or anywhere in your home. This portable cooking stove is a Utah product and is made in Logan, Utah.

The Stove In A Can has been on the market for several years. The market for this portable outdoor cooking stove has been mostly survival, food storage, and emergency preparedness. Now, we fully understand why the Stove In A Can would make a good preparedness item, but is it a good outdoor cooking stove that can be used on a regular basis? See the Video Review Above!

What is the Stove In A Can?

Stove in a Can is just that, a half of a paint can, transformed into a cooking and heating source with an indefinite shelf life. Virtually anything that can be cooked on a regular stove can be cooked on a Stove In A Can. Each Stove In A Can includes everything necessary for cooking - 4 fuel cells (app. 1 hour of cooking time each), fuel ring, cooking ring, and waterproof matches.

Product Features:

• Superior Performance: Boils water in 5 minutes and cooks for 4 to 5 hours.

• Safe: Uses a non-explosive fuel source that is waterproof and can be stored indefinitely.

• Complete and Easy to Use: Includes stove, fuel, cooking platform, and waterproof matches

• Can be lit and re-lit.

• The stove will support up to 300lbs.

• Works well in windy, rainy and sub-freezing conditions.

• At up to 18,000 BTU's, it burns hotter than most other outdoor stoves thanks to our specially formulated fuel cells.

• Because the Stove In A Can is not an "open pit" fire, it can often be used where campfires are not permitted.

Other uses of the Stove In A Can:

The Stove In A Can was created as a cooking source, however there are also several other potential uses of this product. It can be used as an emergency heat source in any outdoor environment. The stove can be used when you need to cook for large groups of people such as family reunions, or scouting trips. The fuel cells are waterproof and can be used as a fire starter in extreme conditions, or it can be used simply for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows in your backyard.

Final thoughts:

After using the Stove In A Can ourselves, we can clearly see the many potential uses this product can provide. The stove makes perfect sense as a survival, food storage, or emergency preparedness product, but it can also be used as an outdoor camping stove on a regular basis as well. The one negative about the Stove In A Can is after it burns for a while the soot builds up on the side of the can, and the can itself is extremely hot and it will take a while for the can to cool. All in all the stove can cook anything a regular stove can cook, it is a prefect backup stove, and great when you may need additional cooking platforms.
