Park your RV or pitch your
tent, then head for nearby Bear Lake and prepare for a
stunning view. This deep, 20-mile-long natural lake
straddles the Utah / Idaho border. It is nicknamed the
"Caribbean of the Rockies", because of it's turquoise
water and white sandy beaches. Come fish, sail, jet ski,
or just soak up the sun and enjoy the beauty of the
crystal clear lake. |

If towing a boat, the Bear Lake marina
is just one mile north of the KOA. A great way to explore and
view the majestic Bear Lake is to drive along the Bear Lake
Road, which circles the lake. Explore the many hiking, biking,
and ATV trails available in and around the KOA. Bring your
ATV's and enjoy access to hundreds of miles of
ATV trails located directly
behind the park. Enjoy the paved bike trail that leads to Garden
City. You will pass several milk shake shops that serve up the
famous Bear Lake Raspberry milk shake and other treats.
On our visit we were very impressed
by the numerous fun family activities that can be experienced
without ever leaving the park. The KOA offers a heated pool and
a wading pool for the kids. Also available is a Ping-Pong table,
pool table, playground, miniature golf, tennis, basketball
courts, and much more. In the summer, hosts serve up the daily
Hungry Bear pancake breakfast and in the evening sit back and
enjoy a old fashion hay ride.
