Cascade Springs

Cascade SpringsCascade Springs is a must see for those heading over American Fork canyon on the Alpine Scenic Loop. The springs are fed by precipitation from the mountains above. Seven million gallons of water a day reach the surface of impermeable rock, and flow out to feed the springs.

Pittsburg Lake Trail

Head east up the American Fork Canyon (Uinta National Forest) until you come to a fork in the road. The trail is an old mining road about 1 1/2 miles long.

Take the left fork heading to Tibble Fork Reservoir.

Stewart Falls Hiking Trail

Stewart Falls Hiking TrailStewart Falls is a beautiful three-tier waterfall located on the east side of Mt.Timpanogos. Rated one of the most popular hiking destinations in Utah, Stewart Falls can be enjoyed by families of all ages and hiking abilities. The falls can be reached from two different locations; Aspen Grove or the Sundance Resort.

Hiking Timpanogos Cave

Hiking Timpanogos CaveWow, it has been a long time since I have been to Timpanogos Cave; I had forgotten what a neat little place it is. One Friday after the kids got out of school early we decided to head down to Timpanogos Cave. We really hadn’t planned the adventure very well, but we lucked out. We arrived at the visitor center, at the base of the trail around 3:00.

Timpooneke Trail to Scout Falls

Timpooneke Trail to Scout FallsThe Timpooneke Trail in American Fork Canyon is one of two trails used to summit Mount Timpanogos. From the trail head, you can see aspen forests, rocky slopes, streams, waterfalls, the pristine Emerald Lake, along with an amazing view of mountain meadows—if you venture the one-way 7.5 miles to the top.
